Federal Skilled Worker Program: Requirements:
To qualify for the Federal Skilled Worker Program, applicants must meet the following requirements:
Skilled Work Experience:
- At least one year of continuous full-time paid work experience (or equivalent part-time) within the last 10 years.
- Experience must be in a job classified under TEER categories 0, 1, 2, or 3 of the National Occupational Classification (NOC).
Language Ability:
- Take approved language tests in English or French.
- Meet minimum scores in all four abilities: writing, reading, listening, and speaking.
Education:
- If educated outside Canada, obtain an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) to validate foreign degrees, diplomas, or certificates as equivalent to Canadian ones.
Selection Factors:
- Score at least 67 points out of 100 based on age, education, work experience, job offer, adaptability, and language skills.
Settlement Funds:
- Show proof of sufficient funds to support yourself and your family after arriving in Canada.
Admissibility:
- Pass security and medical checks.
